Neurodiverse Counseling offers Online Therapy services to clients residing in Massachusetts, Maine, Washington DC, Florida, Vermont, Pennsylvania, or Ohio in accordance with the standards set forth by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and the state licensing boards. For our video sessions, we use a HIPAA-compliant platform called Simple Practice. From the comfort of your own home, you can meet with your therapist using a desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or mobile phone (iOS or Android).

HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR ONLINE THERAPY SESSION
  1. Private Location: Set up your computer or mobile device in a private location where you will not be overheard or interrupted.

  2. Sound Quality: Consider using headphones if there’s background or ambient noise where you are. This will improve sound quality and make it easier for you and your therapist to hear each other.

  3. Video Quality: If you plan to use video during your session, please make sure there’s ample lighting so you and your therapist can see one another clearly.

  4. Identify Goals: Think about what you want to get out of therapy. Do you need help working through a specific stressful situation, or are you hoping for a more long-term therapeutic relationship where you can explore issues as they arise? Identify what you'd like to gain or accomplish through the therapy process so together you and your therapist can track your progress toward success.
