COUNSELING SERVICES
At Neurodiverse Counseling, our priority is making sure you feel supported during every step of your journey. Starting therapy can feel daunting, and it's normal to experience a mix of emotions, but you don’t have to go through it alone. Our goal is to guide you toward personal growth and well-being, helping you navigate life’s challenges with compassion and care.
What You Can Expect from Counseling
Intake Process – The intake process allows us to get to know you and learn what you hope to achieve through therapy. During intake, your therapist will ask about your personal history and experiences to create a tailored approach that supports your unique journey. It may take two to three sessions to complete, and we may use a few assessments to better understand how to help you achieve your goals.

It’s also your chance to see if your therapist feels like the right fit for you. Think of it as a conversation where you can explore whether this connection feels comfortable and aligned with your needs. We encourage you to meet with more than one counselor if it helps you find the best match.

Sessions – Initial intake sessions last 60 minutes, with regular counseling sessions lasting 45 minutes. For children and adolescents, most sessions will be individual, though some sessions may include family members when appropriate.
Cancellation & Missed Appointments
We value your time, and your sessions are reserved specifically for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, we kindly ask that you provide notice at least 48 hours in advance. You can easily manage your appointments through the Client Portal. Cancellations with less than 48 hours of advance notice may incur the full session fee.
