ASSOCIATE THERAPISTS (LCSW or LMHC)

Neurodiverse Counseling is a well-established and growing telehealth-based psychotherapy practice. We are seeking Associate Therapists to provide counseling services in a supportive and clinician-focused environment. Our mission is to make the practice of psychotherapy fulfilling and sustainable for therapists, following a "clinicians first" approach. We are committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive culture that prioritizes therapist well-being, flexibility, and professional growth.

JOB TYPE

Full-time, Remote, Independent Contractor (1099)

COMPENSATION

  • We offer flexibility for associate therapists to set their own schedules and fees.

  • Earnings depend on session fees and caseload size.

  • Earnings are determined by the fees you set and the number of sessions provided, allowing for full autonomy over your income.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field.

  • Post-graduate experience in a clinical setting, with a strong preference for candidates experienced in working with neurodivergent, diverse, historically marginalized, and LGBTQIA+ clients.

  • Experience in telehealth preferred, or willingness to learn. 

  • Reliable internet connection & quiet workspace required.

  • Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR). 

  • Comfortable using technology, conducting virtual sessions, and working remotely.

EXPECTATIONS

  • Maintain a minimum caseload of 20 sessions per week.

  • Participate in weekly individual and group supervision.

  • Hold an active licensure in Massachusetts.

  • Obtain and carry professional liability insurance.

  • Commitment to a minimum of 3 years at ND Counseling.

ARE WE A GOOD FIT?

We are looking for therapists who can commit to at least 30 hours a week:

  • Overview of a typical week:

    • ​25 Hours of Direct Client Care

    • 2 Hours of Administrative Work

    • 1 Hour of Individual Supervision

    • 1 Hour of Group Supervision

    • 1 Additional Hour (client sessions, blog writing, or administrative meetings)

RESPONSIBILITIES

01.

Conduct 20-minute complimentary video consultations.

04.

Coordinate client care with clinical and administrative staff.

02.

Provide individual psychotherapy and conduct evaluations.

05. 

Assist clients in navigating out-of-network insurance with administrative support.

03.

Document treatment notes in accordance with NASW and APA guidelines.

Are you licensed to practice in the state of Massachusetts?

How many years of postgraduate clinical experience do you have?

Briefly describe your clinical background. What populations have you worked with, and in what settings did you work (e.g., schools, private practice, community mental health)?

What areas of expertise have you developed in your clinical work? Are there presenting concerns or diagnostic areas where you feel especially confident?

Are there particular populations, communities, or identities you feel especially passionate about or experienced in working with?

Please list any clinical specializations, certifications, or advanced trainings (e.g., CBT, DBT, IFS) you have and describe how they shape your approach.

Have you ever been subject to a formal disciplinary process or investigation for professional or ethical conduct?

How do you conceptualize the therapy process? What informs your style and how do you build rapport with clients?

How do your personal identities, values, and lived experiences influence your clinical work? (You're welcome to share to the extent you feel comfortable.)

Clinical Leadership & Mentorship

Have you provided clinical supervision or peer consultation? If yes, briefly describe your role and how you supported developing clinicians.

What is your approach or philosophy when mentoring or collaborating with newer therapists?

How many client sessions would you like to hold each week? (e.g., 20, 25, etc.)

What days and times are you available to see clients? (e.g., Mondays 9:00 AM–3:00 PM; Weekends 10:00 AM–3:00 PM)
